What sizes do shelving units come in?
We offer two different styles of Monkey Bar Shelving Units: Monkey Bar Shelf Rack have storage on top and hanging capabilities with bars and brackets that are adjustable hanging from the bottom - these specific shelves come in custom widths featuring three different depths.
We also offer Inverted Shelving which is a straight shelf with no hanging capabilities. Inverted Shelves come in 16", 24" and 32".

Garage Cabinets
How long will these cabinets last?
Our garage cabinets in Fort Myers are built to last for decades. We back this up by offering a limited lifetime warranty.
How tall and deep can I order my cabinets?
All cabinets are built to order with the specifications of your garage. The sizes and styles of our cabinets will vary. Cabinets can be made starting at 12” wide and are available in 1” increments out to 48” wide. Heightas are available starting at 12” tall that increase in 1” increments and up to a maximum of 91” in height. Depths are available starting at 12” up to 32” deep depending on the style of cabinet.
What are the garage cabinets made of?
Our cabinets are made from 3/4″ – 1″ furniture grade high pressure thermal fused laminate and are constructed with durable wooden dowels and screws. Melamine can come in a variety of colors, designs and wood-grain patterns. They are moisture resistant and won’t rot or warp as compared to other cabinets.
Why are the garage cabinets mounted up off the floor?
They are mounted up and off of the floor to protect against flooding or accidental spillage. It also provides easier access for keeping your garage floor clean.

Overhead Racks
What types of overhead racks are there?
There are two types of overhead racks; Motorized and Stationary.
How much weight do the overhead racks hold?
Our stationary overhead racks are strong enough to hold enough to hold up to 750lbs and up to 1000 lbs when one side is mounted into wood or concrete block structure as well as ceiling joist. Motorized overhead racks are rated for 400 lbs of storage capacity.
What items are best stored on overhead racks?
Long-term items and items used less frequently, like bulky equipment or storage bins, are best stored on overhead racks.
What are the differences between motorized overhead racks and normal racks?
There are a few significant differences between the two types of racks we offer. Most notably, motorized racks will move up and down by the control of an app installed on your phone. Motorized racks will move up and down with a maximum travel of up to 12 feet from the ceiling to the floor. Stationary racks are generally accessed by a ladder and can hold more weight.
How do the motorized overhead racks work?
Motorized overhead racks utilize four independent motors with built in weight capacity sensors to safely and accurately raise and lower your belongings with a weight storage of between 350-400 lbs. We use advanced technology that integrates with your cell or tablet to control your unit.
What are the overhead storage racks made out of?
All of our overhead storage racks in Fort Meyers are made of 10-gauge steel with a durable powder coated finish, with industrial grade steal frames ensuring the finish will look like new for years to come with the knowledge that they are also highly durable. These come with a 2” safety lip so nothing slides off of your unit. All parts of our construction are steel - NO plastic here!

Garage Flooring
How long does a floor installation take?
Installation for epoxy flooring is based off of the size of your garage. Most garage applications are one day installations up to 650 sq ft. Anything over that may require a second day. Swisstrax tiles can be installed in as little as a few hours to a day over your existing flooring with no mess, loud grinders and no hassle.
Does everything have to be out of the garage during the floor installation?
Any items on the floor will need to be removed prior to your epoxy or Swisstrax installation. This includes refrigerators, ice machines, generators, or freezers. However, built-in items such as cabinets, water heaters, sinks, or water softeners can remain in place and we will go around them as close as we can. If you are uncertain about a certain item your estimate person or the office will be happy to answer any questions about what should or should not be taken off of the floor.
Is the floor covering slippery?
For epoxy flooring - we always add a special anti-slip/skid product to our top coat at NO additional charge.
How do I clean my new floor?
We do not advise power washing your floor as this will void your warranty and will result in unwanted lifting of the product. Power washers are built with to much power these days. We advise using bristle broom, or bar mops. Use a liquid dishwashing detergent such as Dawn and use a water hose to rinse out. One part vinegar and one part water is also a good solution for dirty spots. Do not use any chemicals on your garage floor. Please call our office if you have any questions about the maintenance of your garage floor.
Does the flooring leave a smell?
Only during the install process should you have any odors. During the first week if your garage is closed up you may notice an odor when walking in the garage, but as you leave the door open and air ventilation gets in there this will start to dissipate.
Do you offer a warranty for flooring?
The floors come with a life-time warranty to guard against peel, delaminating and pulling up from hot car tires. This warranty is valid for as long as you stay in your home. However, the warranty does not transfer to the new owner should you sell it.

Process: From Start to Finish
What happens when I fill out a Contact Form?
When you fill our a Contact Form, your contact information is sent directly to one of our team members. We’ll attempt to contact you, usually through a phone call, as soon as possible. If we don’t reach you on the first attempt, we usually try a couple more times. If we still can’t reach you then, we won’t continue to spam you with messages or calls.
How long do the in-home consultations take?
On average, the consultations take 30-45 minutes.
Do I get the estimate during the consultation?
Generally, we’ll give you an idea of what to expect during the consultation in person and hand you over the estimate if it does not have cabinets quoted. However, if there are cabinets included we will email you a detailed 3-D rendering estimate within 5-7 business days showing what your garage could look like based off your meeting with our estimator. We will send that over to your email so that you and the estimate person can make any updates as needed.
How long is a typical installation?
Installs will be dependent on how many items you currently have in your garage (if it's a clean and open working space) and how your joists and walls are built. Installs are usually pretty direct but your wall and ceiling installations are not. Stationary overheads can be installed in as little as half a day. Motorized overheads can be installed in as little as half a day. Cabinets will be dependent on how many are being installed and how intricate the design is, as little as one day to as many five days can be expected. Epoxy flooring is dependent on size of garage but usually anything under 650 sq ft is a one day job. Swisstrax Flooring is mostly less than a full day. Slatwall (if its a whole garage of slatwall) will take multiple days, however if you are just getting a section that should be a few hour job. Do you charge for in-home consultations or estimates?
All of our consultations and estimates are free.
Can I install Gorgeous Garage products myself?
Because we want to make sure that your garage cabinets are installed professionally and correctly, we prefer to install the product ourselves to ensure no issues down the road. This also allows for a full warranty upon installer installation. We do sell the cabinets to the public however it is with the knowledge that if you are to install them yourself there is absolutely zero warranty once it is in your possession and we are no longer liable for any issues with the cabinetry.
Do you operate on the weekend for estimates or installations?
Please call the office to find out if we can accommodate a weekend estimate. Generally our estimates are Monday - Friday, but sometimes we understand time constraints and might be able to accommodate. Our installations are Monday - Friday. If there is a reason an install would be on a weekend that would need to be communicated with the office and approved by management on a case by case basis.
Are you a licensed and insured company?
Yes, we are licensed and fully insured in all six counties. Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, Glades and DeSoto.

Miscellaneous
Does the price of the product include installation?
Yes, all of our pricing includes installation.
**We also do not charge sales tax as this is considered a capital improvement. When you get your bill, you will see no taxes added.
Will the consultant give me a design, or do I tell him/her what I want?
We meet with you before any decisions are made because we want to understand exactly what your storage needs are before we propose any solutions. Helping your vision become a reality is our ultimate goal. After you have all the information, our storage consultant will measure your space and talk with you about your budget. Depending on what your objectives are, we’ll work with you to design a solution.
Do I move my stuff out of the garage? Or do you move it out for me?
Homeowners will be expected to move items from their garage. If you're putting items in your driveway, you'll need to leave an area for the work van to pull in. If this is an installation for shelving items, you can place items in the middle of the garage away from the walls so that our crew can work. If this is an installation for overheads, you will have to remove the items from the middle and sides of the garage so we can build and install our units. We do offer trailer storage for our bigger cabinet jobs and epoxy flooring. There is a charge for this rental. Our trailer is 14’ long x 6.5’ tall x 7’ wide dual axle trailer. You would need to call the office to discuss pricing.
Does it matter if I get flooring or storage first?
If you are getting cabinetry you will want to remove everything out of your garage to allow for the flooring to be installed there fore using a trailer or removing things to the back of your patio, inside, etc. would be ideal. Some exceptions would be that we lay the floor down and use a hand grinder to get around the cabinets but this is not always ideal if your cabinets sit very low. Talking to the estimate person or the office is preferable if you are concerned If you are getting shelving or overheads you would want to have those items installed first so that you don’t have to pay for storage of your items for the flooring installation.
If I’m moving, do I have to leave my storage system behind?
First and foremost make sure that you haven’t taken anything off of your wall ie: cabinet or shelving otherwise that can void your warranty. Only authorized Monkey Bar installation crews can move your items off of your wall and into another house and keep your warranty still intact.
